Our perceptions, representations, knowledge now transit through screens. Accessing these communication and exchange interfaces, we collaborate and act via images, texts, sounds and equations. In a word, the screen determines who we are, who we think we are, and the space and depth of our language and communication arenas.

The screen allows for more : it brings to life many functions that contribute to interactivity-visualization, experience, mediation, modeling. Coupled with sensory technology, it becomes the site of many interactions and interventions with others, the environment and oneself. Substituting and extending the memory of books, the screen is becoming the unavoidable, ultimate path to new knowledge. In this sense, screens interfere in the most intimate space of thought and perception and are becoming influential conductors of knowledge.
